Our History
Like all great ideas, this one was born from three friends around a table, in front of a hamburger.
Paolo Tazzini, Mirco Taddeucci and Maddalena Sartor have been working at Yachtalia for years, growing along with the nautical industry and gaining ever more experience. But with the exponential growth of the sector, requests and needs also increase, especially at a premium level of customer care. The challenge? On the one hand, the quality of the service to be provided, on the other, the balance between work and personal life of the professionals.
The goal is clear: improve life on board and make the company sustainable.
We are at the end of 2019, Paolo, Mirco and Maddalena designed Captayn: they carried out an analysis of the main causes of failure on board, mapped and studied the existing intervention methods, and acted on each single element to find and implement the best solutions.

They are the three founding members.
In 2021 they launched the Captayn App. In March 2022, the project officially debuted at YARE. Some of the world's leading shipyards, such as Azimut Yachts, chose to rely on Captayn. The dream becomes reality.
In 2023, the company was established: Captayn Platforms is now an innovative startup. Shortly thereafter, the first capital increase took place, which saw the entry of new shareholders, including Roberto Silvestri.
